The Project

A leading institution of higher education, the University of Huddersfield has over 24,000 students. Queensgate Campus, based in the centre of Huddersfield, has received substantial investment over the last decade for improvement works.

In an extensive three month project, GME redecorated numerous areas of the university, including receptions, libraries, staff areas, corridors, staircases, refreshment areas and student blocks. We also renovated a fantastic heritage building.

Our Approach

GME worked alongside the university to ensure that the décor was both stylish and practical. We strived to create light, airy and inviting learning spaces across campus, whilst addressing the individual needs of each room to ensure they were fit for purpose. For example, Goo Paint was used for projector walls.

The heritage building was a highlight of the project. Our bespoke service transformed this building, tastefully modernising it with feature walls and bright décor. Using cherry pickers, we sprayed the ceiling to give it a black, industrial concrete look, for stunning results.
