Turning Point is a social enterprise supporting and caring for people in need. Based in a five-storey building, the Wakefield branch offers a wide range of services, including counselling, therapy, drug and alcohol support.
In need of extensive redecorating, the centre required 1st and 2nd phase refurbishment. Walls, communal areas, offices, toilets and staircases all needed painting, in a project that lasted 3 weeks.
As a centre dealing with vulnerable adults and young people on a daily basis, we recognised the importance of creating an accessible, clean and positive environment for both staff and visitors to the clinic.
GME also understood the need to minimise disruption to the day-to-day running of the clinic, which is why we planned our logistics around office staff, to avoid interrupting their work. For tasks where this would not possible, we completed aspects of the project out of hours.
