Part of the team will soon be jumping into the sky for Levi’s Star, a fantastic charity supported by GME Painting Contractors. Gav, Mat and Sasha will be doing a tandem sky dive on Saturday 12th September from Bridlington.
Levi’s Star was set up in the memory of 6 ½ year old Levi Ringer to support families whose children are, or have been affected by brain tumours. GME have been supporting the Yorkshire based charity for the last couple of years.
Another fund raising event, on top of Gav’s Great North Swim in June across Lake Windermere. Gav joined 1000’s of other swimmers to swim across one of the Lake District’s most popular tourist destinations. Following months of training, he was finally ready to do the swim and managed to complete it in 31 minutes. A mean task considering the currents, the cold and the other swimmers in the lake at the same time!
Gav raised over £800 to help children and their families receive much needed support. With the help of Mat and Sasha this time, they hope to add to the collection by taking part in the sky dive along with their jumping team mates from Northern Accountants.
