Recent Projects Completed

25th September 2020

Here at GME, we provide a number of services for a variety of sectors, and our most recent clients are examples of exactly that. Over the past couple of months, we have worked with
some brilliant clients, each varying in need.

Our projects are always flexible to the needs of the client, something which is especially important at the moment, with restrictions due to COVID being in place. We ensure that
every element of our work is carefully planned and scheduled, allowing us to work around staff schedules to maximise efficiency and prevent disruption. We are also proud to be able to offer our services to customers throughout Yorkshire, as demonstrated by the following case studies.

Our employees headed over to Doncaster in South Yorkshire to work with Brodsworth Hall and gardens. Brodsworth Hall is a Victorian building which was home to the Thellusson family and their staff in the 1860s. Today, the hall is owned by English Heritage, who have restored the property and opened it to the public. GME was asked to help renovate the public toilets as well as decorate and modernise them to fit the surrounding décor. We’ve worked on a number of buildings in the public sector and are experts in both restoration painting and specialist heritage painting and decorating. It is this which further solidified the decision for English Heritage, as they could be sure that GME would provide an and professional service.

We are also proud to have recently completed an ongoing painting and decorating project for Capita in Sheffield. The company were looking for a complete interior redecoration for Hartshead House, just off Parkway. Our team have worked across the seven-storey building, painting all interior office spaces. As the company has a large number of staff, albeit somewhat limited at the minute, as well as having had other contractors working on site, it was imperative for us to collaborate with all those involved. Our team started from the upper floors and worked their way down, completing half a floor at a time as this was most efficient for all involved.

A recent housing project we worked on has also now been completed, the Cotton Mill, which are a set of 39 new, luxury apartments in Skipton. The apartments are rich in history
and were designed to be fresh and modern for dwellers, which is something GME was proud to be part of creating. For this project, our team painted all of the building’s external windows, which again required a large amount of collaboration and organisation with other contractors. For our team to carry out the large amount of external painting, it was necessary for roads to be closed to allow cherry pickers and scissor lifts to access the site. To ensure this process went as smoothly as possible, we worked closely with Skipton council, keeping them aware of all plans. This particular project was acquired by GME through a property management company who were confident in our abilities.
