Our team have recently been working in York at The Lawrance Luxury Apart-Hotel, who provide a unique and stylish place to stay in the beautiful city. With apartments in a variety of sizes, The Lawrance prides itself on creating accommodation with a home-from-home feel, combining boutique hotel features with the privacy of an apartment. Due to its success, it is currently undergoing an expansion, with 12 new apartments being added.
Our team have not only been carrying out the painting and decorating work, they have also helped with the interior design aspects, including assisting with choosing colour schemes.
Having been painting and decorating for almost 4 weeks, our team are now half way through this refurbishment project. Work has included preparing and decorating the new apartments as well as communal areas in the hotel, such as the staircases.
Maintenance work has also been carried out on the existing features of the property, including repainting offices and window frames. Here at GME we emphasise the importance of regular maintenance and advise that it is carried out at least every three years. This includes repainting or just simply retouching certain features, as over time natural wear and tear occurs as well as timber corrosion on windows. Ensuring properties are regularly maintained therefore reduces the likelihood of damages and leaves a building looking clean, well looked after, and attractive to potential clients or visitors.
