Over the August Summer break, our team were contacted by the Leeds University Union (LUU), asking if we could paint and decorate their Terrace bar. The space is extremely popular and it’s easy to see why, with a spacious outdoor terrace and trendy indoor bar, there’s a choice for all seasons. The bar also offers live entertainment, with events such as salsa, every Tuesday and the LSR DJ every Saturday evening.
As this is such a popular venue, the client didn’t want the bar being shut for too long for the maintenance work. The venue was spread over quite a large area, and therefore to accommodate this request, we enlisted a larger team so that the bar only had to be shut for a week.
The LUU decided to go with a light grey paint on the woodwork and walls throughout the interior of the Terrace Bar. Grey is a great neutral colour for both domestic and commercial properties, complementing a variety of colourways, which is why many people choose to use it. It’s a colour that is calming, soothing and always on-trend.
The work we carried out at the Terrace brought the bar back to life, adding a fresh touch, ready for the students to enjoy over the new academic year. This is also a great example of our team coming together to complete a decorating job to high quality within a limited time frame.
