Over the years, GME have aimed to support the local community, from charities to sports clubs in and around West Yorkshire. With constant fluctuations in the economy, it can be challenging for many organisations, so supporting them is important to us as they help bring the community together. Recently, the GME team donated their services to Batley Bulldogs, to freshen up the stadium for the new season.
The Fox’s Biscuits Stadium is home to the Batley Bulldogs, whose history spans over 130 years. Over this time, the team have had many successful seasons, and GME were happy to help refresh the stadium ready for the 2018 Betfred Championship.
The work included restoring corporate boxes as well as painting and decorating the bar areas. With thousands of people visiting the stadium every year, over time natural wear and tear occurs so this regular maintenance is important for the appearance of the stadium for fans, as well as for advertising.
Having kicked off the season with a match against Leigh Centurions, the team have since played a winning game against Swinton Lions at the AJ Bell Stadium. Next Sunday, we will see the first home game of the year against Barrow Raiders, and we wish Batley Bulldogs the best of luck for the weekend and for the rest of the season!
