A recent project of ours involved decorating a redevelopment of Burley House in Ilkley. Having converted this old manor house into three large, luxury apartments, the developers wanted to modernise these apartments whilst still preserving some of the traditional features. The apartments are at the higher-end of the housing spectrum, offering more space than the average flat.
Our team set out to transform the interior of the apartments to match the impressive exterior. However, as these apartments were formed from an old listed building, we had to reclaim certain features to conserve its unique qualities as well as use high quality materials to ensure that the effects would be long-lasting.
Our team of painters and decorators were eager to start this project, as it was a great chance to showcase our skills, having worked on many heritage projects previously. We set to work right away, preparing the walls, picture rails, windows and doors for a fresh coat of paint with a high-quality primer.
Bringing this old building back to life was an excellent project, creating brand-new and exclusive properties for the developers to sell to potential buyers.
