Spring is a popular time for repaints and refurbishments. Winter can leave us feeling gloomy and we can find ourselves paying less and less attention to minor details, like paintwork maintenance. Because of this, the brightness that comes with Spring can highlight blemishes and cracks. You can read more about why Spring is such a popular decorating time here.
Recently, our team of painters and decorators took on a huge project. We were tasked with repainting an entire school, including classrooms and labs. We were keen to get started, as we were aware of the obstacles we would face when carrying out the work.
As children would be attending the school throughout the day, we had to decide on a timescale that allowed us to work as efficiently as possible, without causing disruptions to classes and students. As this isn’t the first school, we’ve carried out work on, we were fully prepared when it came to this. We discussed this with our clients and drafted out a flexible schedule in which we could work to.
When it comes to projects like this, we always use high-quality, hygienic paints as we are aware of the safety needed when it comes to rooms like labs and kitchens. The school required repainting in the majority of its classrooms and hallways, as it had been some time since their last refurbishment.
Around this time of year, we begin to plan school refurbishments, due to the Summer holidays slowly approaching. Preparing for new terms with repaints allows children and staff to feel refreshed when returning from breaks, which can be motivational for work and learning processes.
