York St John University is one of two universities in the city of York, currently with over 6500 students and emerged from the amalgamation of St John’s College and Ripon College. York St John eventually received university status on the 1st October 2006. The university often ranks in the top 100 in various university guides.
An extensive project at the university saw GME redecorate numerous communal areas of the university, including receptions, staff areas, corridors, stair cases, refreshment areas and student blocks.
GME worked alongside the estate team at the university to ensure that we were able to create a simple, yet practical design for the students. Our aim was to create light and airy spaces that the students were able to study in, and feel comfortable. Whilst also renovating the sports pavilion, in order to improve the facilities for the students.
