Over the years, GME have worked on numerous projects across the Yorkshire region, including renovating hospitals. This week, GME continued work on St James’s University Hospital in Leeds, also known as “Jimmy’s”, and the largest teaching hospital in Europe.
With the school holidays underway, a plan was put in place to create an agenda for the team to follow as many areas of the interior and exterior of the hospital were going to be redecorated.
First on the agenda was the gym. As the gym was of a sizeable scale, the team spent time preparing, painting, and finishing it to a high standard which included re-painting the large windows throughout the room. With an abundance of light already beaming through the windows, the repaint really aided in helping to create a much brighter and modern looking environment for staff to exercise in.
In the past we have worked on many gyms and leisure centres including Keighley leisure centre. This is something we really enjoy doing as we know it will benefit many people and create a more enjoyable place for people to unwind in.
For the rest of the month, the team will continue to work at St James’s Hospital, with work to be completed on the exterior of the building, including repainting the metal fire escapes and external windows to freshen up the overall appearance.
